The Rocky Mountains are stunning in any season: the fall with mountain tops glistening with snow while the lower levels are bright vibrant fall colours; winter with all its snow and frozen lakes; spring with warmer temperatures and wildlife waking up from hibernation; and summer the most popular albeit crowded season. While road tripping the Rocky Mountain Trench, it’s easy to spot bighorn sheep, elk, deer, coyotes, caribou, and of course bears when they’re not hibernating.
You will leave from Vancouver and drive through the Okanagan and reach the Rockies to Jasper, Banff, Yoho and Revelstoke national parks, while enjoying stunning hikes, beautiful alpine lakes, breathtaking mountains and nights under the stars. We might even get a chance to view the northern lights in the non-summer months. This is a 5 day tour and depending on the time of the year, we’ll stay in hostels (option to upgrade to hotels) 4 nights or camp outdoors (June to August).
The cost includes 5 days transportation, park fees, accommodation for 4 nights, guided tours and hikes/snowshoeing, photo shoots and photography lessons. Upgrade to private rooms/hotels, food and other activities like dog sledding, ice walks, gondola rides, kayaking/canoeing and hot springs are extra.
Your guide, with over 20 years of hiking and guiding experience, will guide you through various hiking and snowshoeing trails of different levels, while on a fun and a safe road trip. With small groups and plenty of one-on-one photoshoots and lessons, you’ll learn all about landscape photography and how to capture the majesty of nature wherever you are.
